The gesture that Lalita Pawar is showing in Gopi (1970) is seen often Hindi films. Basically means that this upraised thumb is all you are getting, or not even that.
I always wondered what it really meant. Finally found it in Platt's dictionary of Urdu, Classical Hindi and English.
